Wired by Julie Garwood

I am a huge Julie Garwood fan! I’ve got all of her books, from her historical romance to contemporary and even her YA book. I first discovered Ms. Garwood with her historical romance but quickly fell in love with her contemporary series. Even better, if you’ve read her historical romance series, the family names of her contemporary series will make you happy. On to WIRED.

It took her a while to get this bad boy out but if you’ve followed the series, this one is about Liam as in Liam from Australia, the Liam that Alec might have arrested once upon a time. Story wise, it reminded me a little of Mercy and The Ideal Man in that the heroine is a bit of a prodigy in her field and the hero is Mr. Suave.

I did have to take a star away for the character developments. Her heroine, Allison, had too much of a “poor me” issue with the aunt and uncle situation. Liam also wasn’t as “fun” as he’d been when he was introduced to the series in Aiden’s book. Liam also did a lot of disappearing doing some super secret spy stuff.

Overall I’d give the story a 4 out of 5 star because I really was expecting the story to be more intense. Though some of the theme is a little redundant with her other books, the story premise is fairly original and I liked that even though you’ve kind of get where the story is going and guess who might be the bad guy, there were some nice twists to the story.
